Not bad for the price

Sail Date: May 26, 2007

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

As this is (I was told) Carnival's oldest and smallest ship, it is not the most glamorous ship, but the price is low so it is acceptable for the price. The staterooms are very nice with incredibly comfortable beds, pillows, and bedding--the best 5 nights of sleep I've had in ages. Also, the steward's do a great job of keeping your staterooms clean! The food was just okay, but ALL the desserts are wonderful. I would probably opt for a larger ship in the future, but as long as you are not looking for a luxury cruise, this one will provide a relaxing vacation at an affordable price.

Pros: Large staterooms with extremely comfortable beds and bedding!

Cons: Waiting in lines everywhere on the ship.

Recommends Holiday (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Kept clean and tidy in all areas.
Food and Dining
The waiting staff in the formal dining areas is excellent!
Entertainment
Oh well, its not Broadway!
Cabin / Stateroom
A lot roomier than expected! The bathroom was bigger than what we've had on a larger ship.
Service and Staff
Though some seem overworked and unhappy, most are very friendly and helpful.
Cozumel, Mexico
Lot's to do. We skipped booking our excursion through Carnival and saved a ton of money! We walked two blocks from the end of the pier to a dive shop and got a small and personal excursion snorkeling to three different areas with free water, sodas, and beer for $25 per person!
Don't Miss: Either swimming with dolphins or snorkeling.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Very pristine--not a lot to do, but very pretty.
