Longest five days of my life

Sail Date: September 11, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This was a seriously boring vacation.

Pros: When we got back to Mobile

Cons: Food, Entertainment, Musty smelly ship

Recommends Holiday (RETIRED)? No.

Ship Quality
This ship is very dated and had a musty smell. It's extremely small and there isn't much to do. You'll spend a lot of time looking at the water, which gets old quickly.
Food and Dining
The food in the dining room wasn't that great, but to be fair, I'm not into that type of food. As for the wharf grill, it's basically just a cafeteria, and not a very good one at that.
Cabin / Stateroom
The size of the stateroom was fine, however, it was extremely noisy. Everything rattled, so if you take this cruise, bring some ear plugs.
Service and Staff
This was the one bright spot of this trip. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating.
Entertainment
The entertainment was definetly lacking in all respects. Hairy chest contests and the like aren't my cup of tea, and as far as the evening entertainment, it was very corny.
Cozumel, Mexico
It was alright. The pier is still torn up, and you have to use a tender to get to and from the ship. I was expecting it to be better than it was.
Calica, Mexico
There isn't anything to do at Calica, so you have to go to Playa del Carmen. Playa del Carmen is interesting to see, once, but don't plan on spending much time there unless you have some money you're itching to blow.
Don't Miss: Carlos and Charlie's is a good place to eat.
