Great time! by nbossert

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Great time spent with family. The cruise ship is really unbelievable. So big and impressive with lots to do. The only downside is that there are lots of people and it gets very crowded on the top deck on days at sea. But the availability of so many activities around the ship helps mitigate this.

Super Fabulous Cruise by jgg9670

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Wonderful cruise, I am ready to go again. Food and service were fantastic!! Numerous activities for the entire family. Not on this survey was the restaurant Jamie Olivers. What an experience we had, our server Florentina was superb. The idea of appetizers and desserts on the wooden planks for everyone to share and try new foods was fantastic.

Don't trust the 'Star' ratings. My overall rating is much lower than the auto rating the review generated. by DublinRFK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Disappointing, With all the Hype and the constant onboard hard sell to come back a little more effort on the food service side would be nice. The constant plus, plus, plus is also annoying. Purchase a (high priced) prepaid drink package, then wait with those who didn't and then find that the automatic gratuities are not included.

Best Cruise Ever by BestCruiseEve

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I didn't think we could recapture last year's cruise on the Allure of the Seas, but Harmony of the Seas was just as wonderful. Kudos to Royal Caribbean.

I had a blast and so did the kids. I was able to let them go and have fun while I had cocktails and relaxed.

Was a little nervous about going on a different cruise line because past experiences with other cruise line has not been so good. Tried it anyway and so thankful I did. it was the best cruise I have ever been on. ALL the staff over exceeded my expectations!

Disappointed for the money we paid by davidrosa31

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

When we arrived, We couldn’t find someone to tell us where to go and what to do. It was our first experience in a cruise and everyone assumed that we knew how everything worked and where everything were. We where lost the first 2 days. So disappointed. Also, the sanitary of the cruise was not good. Our entire family got sick with the flu and we still are 5 days later and missed time of work. Couldn’t use the pool at all since it was always full. Couldn’t reserved anything because on the first day everything was sold out. We were new and we didn’t know what to do that’s why we didn’t reserved on the first day. Although on stand by lines we where able. I got charge for WiFi and the WiFi was down for us half of the time. I didn’t know about the cabin size. I thought that it works base on the amount of people but it doesn’t . You need to select 2 cabins for 4 people. Imposible to handle 4 people in one cabin. Also the tips are not per cabin but per person. On dinner times when on the dinners they gave us so much headache, servers were rude, some of them. I don’t think my family and I will come back and I don’t think we will refer anyone.

Won't use Royal Caribbean again by lharvey50303841

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

photos were another sore point. we had 19 people in 7 staterooms in our group. when they took pictures we tried to give them all our room numbers. They said no, only 1 room was necessary. But at the end, they would not let us pick photos from our group of rooms - only the room we personally were in. If my face was in the picture, they'd move it to my room - but I don't want pictures of myself - I want pictures of my kids and grandkids! Also, there were several times when the picture was attached to a room when no one from that room was present. Absolutely nothing I said would get them to let us pick & choose from the 7 rooms. To get all the pictures, they wanted $2,100. Yes, over two thousand dollars! They were willing to give us a "deal" of only $1,200. That was the last straw. I will never use Royal Caribbean again.

Awesome by KAKS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The staff, service were excellent. The drinks were surprisingly strong no matter where you got them on the ship. We had the loft suit and loved it. We will never sail again below a suite Level. The ship has something for everyone. You need one week to enjoy the ship and one week to enjoy the port

Large ship = large everything else by Itrvlfar

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship is beautiful...very large, but beautiful. The food and service was excellent and we were very impressed with the selection/variety of food around the ship during the day as well as for dinner. Late nigh options, not so much as only pizza and small snack type sandwiches (pre-made) were the only things available late at night or you can order via room service for a fee. You need to make arrangements prior to boarding for all your evening entertainment and shows. If you don't have reservations ahead of time, then you need to wait in line until just before the start of the show to see if there are extra seats available. You can also use the Royal IQ app while onboard to book dining and activities that are available. If you are use to sailing on smaller ships, be warned this ship is very large and with that comes lots of people and lines for things. The Windjammer at breakfast and lunch was a complete and utter madhouse so many days we went to the dining room where they offered the options to order off the menu as well as a nice buffet option with nice selections and salad bar. There was no nightclub on this ship which seems very strange for ship this large. There was a multi-use room, The Attic, which was used as a night club but the atmosphere was all wrong and the lighting was not really set up for this purpose. With most ships you find the public areas, especially entertainment venues cooler and many times needed a sweater...that was NOT the case on this ship. It was actually hard to find places that were cool/cold as there are so many doors that open to the outside that it was hard to find a place to cool off. Even the cabins on the coldest settings were not all that cold. The cabins are nicely appointed and the rooms alternate bed by the balcony doors or sofa by the balcony doors. I think this was done specifically to cut down on the transfer of noise from room to room. We were traveling with several cabins of family, all of us in a row and never heard any noise while in the cabin. The balconies offer dividers/privacy but part can be opened up (if you want) so that we could all talk and enjoy the outside area together. This was also super helpful when/if you got locked out of your cabin, you could go in one room and then use the balcony to access another room. All the cabins do offer hair dryers, but if you have a lot of hair then it can take a long time using the small hair dryer provided. Also if you are picky about your hair dryer, bring your own as the one provided is pretty gut less. There is only one electrical outlet by the bed, so if you have medical devices or phones to charge, be sure to ask for an extension cord or multi-plug. You can bring your own, but be sure to put in your checked luggage, not your carry on. Overall the ship is great for families and multi-generational groups as there is truly something for everyone. As a avid cruiser, I have to say this large of a ship is not really my cup of tea, but I was glad I experienced as it reaffirmed my need to be on a smaller or mid-size ship.

Harmony Cruise Fun by lakisharh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I love R.C cruises. I have visited some of the same islands 2-3 times just to cruise on the newest ship. I already booked my 2019 cruises Europe & Alaska. You'll never be bored, there are so many shows to watch, pictures to take and people to talk to that will keep you smiling your entire vacation.
