Overall we have a really nice time but it did not live up to our previous cruise's.

Review summary

Entertainment was not as good as previous cruises and the Cruise Director was essentially nowhere to been found and defiantly was not as good as previous cruises that is when we did see him. this is the first time being on a RCL cruise where the Cruise Director was not out and about a lot. We basically never saw him. RCL has also gotten really cheap on the drinks!! Most of the time they always seemed watered down and that is frustrating as we paid A LOT for the drink package! However, overall the cruise was wonderful, ship was clean, staff were great, and we had a wonderful time.

Specialty restaurants were wonderful but the Wind Jammer Restaurant was really a pain on this cruise. Way over crowded and the kids were all over the place and very rude so we avoided the W.J.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT HERE! We do not have children and we prefer not to be around them (no offence). Therefore we have always gone to the adult areas on previous ships but on the Harmony of the Seas there was no pool of any kind up in the Adult area and that was a massive annoyance. Not only that the "adult" pool was not even on of the pools closest to the adult section rather further back on the ship right next to all the open pools. Really aggravating! Then like always they really do not do much if anything to kick the kids out of the adult pool. At least with the Allure of the Seas there was a small pool up in the adult section. Not happy about this that is for sure.

I'm not a big fan of Mexico and I do not mean that in a negative way but rather we have just been there so much it does not do much for us. That said we did do the Amazing Secret River and that was a great experience. The only issues were the lady at the excursions desk was completely clueless on the excursion. What you need to know is that you will probably want to wear the wet-suit on the excursion, there really is not any swimming but there are a few places where you cannot touch the bottom but you can float through those areas if you do not swim. You will not be wearing any snorkel equipment and do not bother putting on sunscreen or mosquito spray as they want you to take a shower before going in the cave in order to not destroy the environment. This is contrary to what they say on the RCL site. RCL needs to do much better in describing what will be happening and how to prepare for this excursion as most of the people were not properly prepared.

Disembarkation

Quick and easy although that may be because Customs were not really doing anything during the disembarkation this time which is a first. So we walked right off and out the door to our transportation.
