Review summary

When we arrived, We couldn’t find someone to tell us where to go and what to do. It was our first experience in a cruise and everyone assumed that we knew how everything worked and where everything were. We where lost the first 2 days. So disappointed. Also, the sanitary of the cruise was not good. Our entire family got sick with the flu and we still are 5 days later and missed time of work. Couldn’t use the pool at all since it was always full. Couldn’t reserved anything because on the first day everything was sold out. We were new and we didn’t know what to do that’s why we didn’t reserved on the first day. Although on stand by lines we where able. I got charge for WiFi and the WiFi was down for us half of the time. I didn’t know about the cabin size. I thought that it works base on the amount of people but it doesn’t . You need to select 2 cabins for 4 people. Imposible to handle 4 people in one cabin. Also the tips are not per cabin but per person. On dinner times when on the dinners they gave us so much headache, servers were rude, some of them. I don’t think my family and I will come back and I don’t think we will refer anyone.

Research, research, research. We missed out on a few things our first cruise too but that was nobody's fault but our own. Plenty of resources out there.

Research!!! Watch YouTube videos!!! I never met an unfriendly staff member. Some rude passengers but never a unfriendly staff member.

I second everyone's opinion on research. We are going on our third cruise next year, and I still do research. I always learn something new, royal carribean goes out of their way to make you happy, I highly recommend travel agent though.

Research, research, research. Some of the things you're complaining about are SO easy to figure out before you step on the ship.

I learned on my first cruise. The ship broke down. Bad weather. U name it it happened. But I got right back on another ship and I was glad I did. Once I knew what to do the second one and so on just got better. I am still learning after 8 cruises. Don’t quit cruising. Give it another try .

You were on a mega ship and didn't do any research on your own....don't blame cruise ship on your poor planning....and btw you can reserve meals 1 year out and shows usually 150 days out. And Every cruise ship line has maps online for their ships....just saying Research....

We watched so many YouTube videos prior to our 1st cruise (on Libery of the Seas) this past January .. from tours of the actual ship to tours of the cabins to what to & what not to pack .... a little research goes a long long way. Looking forward to our next cruise Jan 2019.

Our first cruise was quite awhile back but I recall being so excited about exploring every inch of that ship and learning all of the ins and outs of cruising. But...we did our homework before our vacation. Also, we tried 3 in a cabin before. Never again.

Wow, bummer, we just got off the ship last week and ALL was perfect for all six of us. My kids also are booking another cruise with us for next year because they enjoyed it so much!

Not every bad review is fake there's gonna be things that do go wrong on ships I was on the horizon and the staff were so ignorant it wasn't even funny I would also recommend googling and YouTubing your ship prior to going on it does help but the staff are there to help to so yes I think that they could've had there situation helped by some staff

Did you use a TA??.Did you ask questions?? Research all over?? You need a TA or a better one, AND/OR a high end cruise line AND/OR a fancy suite AND/OR another vacation. #fakenews

Our first cruise was 2012 and was Amazing! You may have been exposed pre cruise to illness? There is always a bad apple any where you go especially 6000 plus people! We had a rude lady on Harmony about 39 min after arriving in ship but we didn’t let that ruin our trip. We ate, we drank (a little) and we just completely enjoyed our trip even if there was a few unpleasant folks. We do tend to spend a lot of time on our balcony, It’s a vacation lol but we also love excursions to beaches snorkeling etc so just stop worrying who may try to ruin your cruise and rather worry about enjoying the cruise! Hey your in the beautiful ocean and not at work!!!

I have a feeling this is a fake review but if not don’t give up on cruising now you’ve learned do your homework do some research on the ship that you are going to Pick I love to curves

Cruising isn’t for everyone. No cruise line is there to hold your hand while you learn the ship. You need to do a bit of research before booking - just like you would for a land vacation. You picked the largest -ok second largest ship on the ocean during summer break. Honestly ten minutes of research or asking on here before sailing a few questions and you would have had an entirely different experience. You would have known to book shows in advance, again 6,300 people on a ship.... we just sailed Harmony and between sanitizer, crew cleaning constantly and hand washing stations at the buffet if you caught the flu you caught it courtesy of another passenger lying on their medical forms about not being sick. 30 seconds of looking at your cabin when booking would have given you the square footage of the cabin. In all our cruises I can say we’ve had one “rude “ staff member. It’s clearly stated in your cruise documents and in everything before you even click book that the gratuity is per person per day. If you decide to do a cruise again - try a travel agent tell them what you are looking for so they can find the right ship for you. Then do yourself a favor and do some research. You don’t just show up at Yosemite or Disneyland and expect them to drop everything and personally show you around.

Sounds like maybe cruises aren’t for you Sorry it did t work out, but most of your issues could have been handled with a little research and reading pre cruise
