Review summary

Service was excellent, room very small, Very few people in the Casino, and very sure was due to strong smoke order and lack of non smoke areas.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
WE were told that Gold member would have a special welcome area, but not so.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food quality has declined in the last few years. It send a wrong message when the first thing you see is ship employees pushing the upgraded restaurants for an extra cost.. Basically saying our food is not that good, but if you want to eat better, you should buy these restaurants.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
We asked for individual table for two, but instead we got five tables of two with a 1 foot spaced between them. Recommend scatter the tables for two through out the ship, such that people feel that their request has been complied too. Our table was next to where all the dishes were being collected... not acceptable.. I must add that the waiters deserve a 10 as they were very accommodating and willing to help.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
We love to gamble but with all the smoke and bad smell, we were limited to do so. Need to have a non smoking Casino with an enclosed area for smokers.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Very nice venue, good job here.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Good

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
They do a good job in keeping the ship clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
For a "Large" interior cabin, this is the smallest cabin we have ever stayed in.

Ship tip

Confirm that your dinning room table is away from dish pick up place or waiter stations. If you do not smoke do not plan to play as it gets sickening smoke order.

We are going on our first cruise in September. I am looking forward to it but disappointed to learn that smoking is allowed in the casino. Probably won't spend any time there if that is the case!

I’ve been on Grandeur several times and I’ve never seen a Gold member line area. it’s usually platinum and above and if it’s a fully booked ship with mucho Diamond and above they don’t even have platinum areas
