40th anniversary cruise

Sail Date: August 01, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

We had been on the Grandeur in 2009 celebrating our 35th anniversary. Was surprised at the new addition to the ship and also some areas that had been revamped\, all for the better.

Pros: Just about everything was excellent\, we stayed up until 2 to 3 a.m. every night

Cons: The Quest game it was poorly run\, never seen adults behave in such an ignorant manner even if it is a game

Recommends Grandeur of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Just as nice\, if not better then our previous cruise.
Food and Dining
Service was excellent and our waitress deserve a high five for their work.
Cabin / Stateroom
Beautiful and we could have not had a better room attendant - Yudi!
Service and Staff
All of the staff were really friendly and open to helping you with questions. We played a lot of trivia this time and that was a lot of fun.
Entertainment
If it were not for the Quest game I would have rated this higher. The CD did things differently which meant a lot of us did not get to play because instead of breaking the room up into sections to play the game he wanted teams choosen. No matter how many we asked people did not want us on their team. Really nice of them to act like that. And then we had to put up with a storming rhino running passed us\, stepping on toes to get a stupid item to the stage\, it is only a game but this jerk was a child in a large adult body that was just plain rude to us. No one likes to have their feet stepped on so we got up and left before I said something that was not going to be nice. Ricky could have stopped it all by saying that if you ran your team was disqualified\, that if someone said you stepped on their feet and did not apologize that you were disqualified. He needed to stop being so self absorbed in the game and controlled ill behavior. No one such act like an idiot for a dumb game.
