A Spectacular Anniversary Cruise!!!

Sail Date: May 01, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

From the moment we boarded, we were very impressed with the beauty, cleanliness & grace of the ship. The staff was astoundingly helpful, filling our every whim & request. Our waiter & asst. waiter were tops! Remembered what we liked, our names, each night was a culinary & social delight!! We really liked all the cozy seating areas in the different theaters & lounges, the views are awesome, my husband went "rock" climbing, to a wine tasting & an art auction, yoga, fitness center, pool, never a dull moment.

Pros: The ship, the staff, the stateroom, the food, the solarium, the fun, the balcony!!!

Cons: Avoided outdoor pool area, very crowded & noisy & hot!

Recommends Grandeur of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Gorgeous ship!! All the brass railings were gleaming, there were people shining, dusting, polishing, cleaning all the time....it was stunning.
Food and Dining
The dining room food was outstanding, with many vegetarian choices, which made me happy & plent of meat for my husband. The buffet has MANY choices, various ethnic dishes, NEVER a problem to find something very good! GREAT selection of whole/multi grain breads!!
Cabin / Stateroom
We were upgraded to a balcony & THAT is the way to cruise!!! Plenty of storage in little cute cubbies & big closet. Nice sitting area. Close to elevator, but the balcony MADE it!!!
Service and Staff
The cheerfullness and helpfullness of the staff was amazing, considering how many hours a day they work! We tipped them way above the recommendation. They deserved it!
Entertainment
The only tiny fault I found was the corny, poorly sung stage show. But, after a couple of drinks, they didn't sound as bad! :>)
