5 Night Western Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)
Sail Date: May 17, 2010
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple

The ship itself was a bit "dated" but they are updating it. Staterooms were on the smaller side, but that's just the age of the ship too. Things were very clean and well cared for. Good size.

Dining hall food was wonderful. Buffet food was just mediocre, but on par for a buffet. Desserts were great in all places.

There was so much to do, we wished we could have done it all! Something for everyone and well run. A few times there was overlap of scheduling so we missed out, but we were so pleased with what we attended that it didn't really matter. We didn't feel like we were missing out.

Fabulous in every way! Nothing even remotely negative to say here. I have no idea how they keep such positive, helpful attitudes all the time, but it's great!!!

Well cleaned and cared for. Attendants were very helpful and took great care of the room several times a day. Tight quarters, but that's to be expected.

We took the Dolphin Discovery "Push, Pull" swim with dolphins which was offered concurrent with the Sea turtle breeding program/farm. It was great and I would highly recommend it. The only downside was that there was some stand around time while waiting for the dolphin to do stuff with other people. In a smaller group, I think it would have been okay, but the size groups they broke us up into made for a bit of boring "down-time."

Absolutely fabulous experience with the Sea turtle snorkel put on by Wild Things. The actual excursion was on the mainland in Playa del Carmen - a 30 minute ferry ride from Cozumel. But, a huge variety of fish on the reef and the sea turtles in their natural environment were nothing short of spectacular. the guides were great and clearly loved what they were doing.

Pros: variety of activities, shore excursions

Cons: buffet food only mediocre
