Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

EMBARKATION: The transfer from the airport was painless, and getting on board took a matter of minutes, rather than the usual hours.ATMOSPHERE: There isn't much art to be found on this newer ship of RCCL's huge fleet. The Centrum is magnificent, the theater is beautiful, but other rooms such as the dining room are plain and boring. Also, the hallways tend to be too narrow.FOOD: The breakfasts were very mediocre with only one set menu. Lunches were good, and dinner was excellent. However, the Windjammer turned out to be terrible. The food was mediocre, and so was the service.ENTERTAINMENT/ACTIVITIES: The shows were very entertaining. However, there were too few activities for the days at sea. These days turned out to be boring wastes for many.KIDS PROGRAMS: The kids programs looked busy and fun, but the teen program was horrible. The staff for the most part were distant, and sometimes very rude. This turned many teens away from their "home" on the ship.SERVICE: The service for the most part was amazing. I must commend the pursers staff for a job well done on the second to last day of our cruise when we disembarked early to beat a blizzard and they got flights for us, and made sure we got to the airport on time. OVERALL: The entire experience was great, though Celebrity beats RCCL by a landslide.
