Sail Date: March 01, 2010 Ship: Grandeur of the Seas Cabin Type: Inside Traveled As: Couple Reviewed: 7 years ago
Seeing two groups that we saw last year on the same cruise. This time we actually made it to Costa Maya; how primatively beautiful. The natives were so kind and genuine. The beaches were so pristine.
What a treat massages on the beach. What all working people need to experience. Very carefree and relaxing. It starts upon entering the ship and carries on throughout the ports of call. Amazing!
Food and Dining

Portions were way too big for us. We would like more quality less quantity; it would definately help all those aboard who didn't think to look in the mirror before they left their cabin and headed to the pool; if you know what I mean! May be you should consider a new motto "cruise to cruise; not cruise to eat"!

Loved the Gauchos and Floresence. Comedian was good. Vagabonds were so so. Last year we had a husband and wife team as the cruise directors they were real fire crackers this year Clodaugh was very low key. Never saw her much.
Service and Staff

Our assistant waiter in the main dining room named Ronald had noticed we were MIA after the first night. He remebered our names and came up to ask why we were not taking our meals with him. We liked him so much we went to the dining room the last night just to let him know how much we appreciated his concern for us. Lots of others too. Everyone was so willing to make everyone happy. What dedication !

This is a real timeless beauty of the fleet. A high maitenance beauty; time has been very kind to. Immaculate and very retro eighties. A Sign of happier times. Easy access to evrything. Nice lay out. Love the Solarium.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our room was very small. Last year my husband broke his toe when he got up in the night to use the bathroom. There was not enough room to get out of the bed when they were pushed together. We chose midship and we always like the inside stateroom; the room stays dark until we want to awaken. Noel Jennings was our stewart. He was truly what he claimed to be; the man that makes things happen. When we told him about my husbands experience last year he separated the beds and voila! we had an ample aisle for his size 13's. Happy to say NO BROKEN TOES THIS YEAR. YEAH NOEL!! Excellent service!!
Pros: the wonderful thing about this cruise was seeing all paasengers so happy
Cons: Dining;in the formal dining room. Being seated with people we had nothing in common with.
