Review Summary

This was a repositioning cruise. 4-19 through 4-26-08. Fine cruising while we were in the caribbean. On the way to last port, Bermuda, ship was rocking (4-8 ft waves), you could tell we were in the Atlantic Ocean. Apparently staff couldn't tell if people were getting sick from a virus or sea sickness because they put sickness bags handy everywhere on ship. The Captain was annoucing "please was your hands frequently". How's that for a real downer? I will never sail the Atlantic again. Finally we were told why we were late into bermuda port (engine problems). They did not get fixed and had to shut down again. Therefore we arrived into Baltimore port nine hours late. Diembarkation was terrible, you would think they never did it before! Everyone jammed with luggage on the stairs - UGH! I liked the extended vacation til we were kicked out of the rooms and everyone had to sit around public areas and babysit our luggage. Again, this ship does not have the best chefs apparently so food was just passable. And why no hand sanitizers!!! I think next cruise will be Princess lines again.

One of the drawers was dirty (from last occupant) and broken. Rocked with the ship. TV Remote had expired batteries - took three days to get new ones.

Pros: the weather, the ports (no tendering!),the beaches, no safety concerns.

Cons: Ship had mechanical problems LATE (10hours into Baltimore); mediocre food

Recommends Grandeur of the Seas? No.
