Grandeur of the Seas Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western

Review SummarySailing out of New Orleans was wonderful. Parking and embarkation was very easy. The cruise down the river was really good and different. The cruise back to port was excellent as we passed loads of illuminated oil rigs. Royal Caribbean does not go out of New Orleans any more which is a shame. We loved it.
We took a guaranteed stateroom as we booked at the last minute. We were given a huge room that was perfectly situated for everything. However, our room steward always seemed to be in a bad mood despite the fact that I am a neat freak and left him very little to do. Our room was not made up for hours after we left it. Most unusual for Royal Caribbean.
We chose not to dine in the dining room in the evenings as we wanted as relaxing a cruise as possible. I won't do this again. The waiters were very friendly and the food was quite good but we missed the lobster dinner and waiter shows, etc. We cruise often but will go to the dining room from now on.
The entertainment was really good. Lots of energy from the dancers and a variety of entertainment which should suit everybody.
Loved the ship and never noticed that it needed refurbishing or anything. Very friendly staff, except for our cabin steward. Hoping to sail on it again this winter.
