Grand Princess Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western

Review SummaryWe were on the Grand Princess 4 years ago. It was a marvelous experience. Everything was first class. Regretably the ship has fallen into disrepair and the lack of service aboard is deplorable. Vanity tops were broken in the bathrooms, lights were out in the pool area, concrete was cracked in the pool hot tubs, and hardware here and there needs to be replaced. This cruise also featured two passengers who went overboard due to drunkenness. When will cruise lines take some responsibility to shut down drinking to those who have excessively consumed? There was a constant smell of cigarette and cigar smoke in the ship. We didn't see any activity aboard regarding maintenance. Every other cruise ship we've been aboard has been well maintained. The Grand Princess is destined for its own demise. The ship may soon be sold to another P&O division as the hull, just above water line, is badly corroded. Other ships that we berthed adjacent to did not exhibit severe pitting. Princess Cruises in good conscience cannot continue operating this vessel and maintain its reputation in the industry. The toilet was out of order in our cabin on three occasions along with air conditioning inconsistency. This vessel must be sold or moved to the breakers in India. Wish we had heeded other on-line cruise reviews before we went on this cruise.
Pros: Everning shows
Cons: Cabin Condition and Cuisine
