Review summary

First "real" cruise. Everyone we met who had been on numerous cruises told us, "Well, you started at the top". Ship is absolutely beautiful. Liked having four separate pool areas and different deck levels on top. Could always find quiet and shade if desired. Service everywhere was excellent. Liked being able to eat any meal at any time in the buffet. Plus burgers and pizza in the midships pool area -- just walk by and grab a piece. Dining room dinners good, but most of the time would rather do the buffet for dinner. Don't know if other cruises offer this option. Princess could use a new dessert chef though...expected more choices. Embarkation and debarkation could not have been better -- only minutes for each -- no lines. Entertainment very good. Certainly lots to do all day... but appreciated not having loudspeaker blasting all the time -- there were very few announcements -- good enough to read day's activities in daily paper. Don't know if it's like this on all cruises, but after about 6pm, we could walk around on top decks and have the whole boat to ourselves....where were those other 2500 prople?
