Review summary
I had several issues on this cruise. First, the Happy Hours are at 3- 4, way to early: the second one is 10-11 but in a bar that chronically is noisy but empty at this time. The smoking in the casino is annoying. In order to pass through to the forward elevators on this deck, you should don a gas mask as the smoke is that bad. The smoke also drifts out to the Piazza a common area where entertainment is held. The buffet service area on the Golden Princess is extremely crowded and congested with very poor traffic flow. The food was average with the exception of the specialty restaurants. Why not, they charge you extra to get the really good stuff!! The entertainment on the stage was mediocre at best. Some of the other groups were good but they had one lady signer who was chronically off key. I have frequently used Celebrity but friends encouraged us to take Princess. In all fairness though, most of the staff tried very hard and were courteous and friendly.

Ship tip
The all you can drink packages are really exorbitant. Unless one plans on drinking from dawn to dusk, it is not a good deal.
