Beautiful Alaska

Sail Date: August 27, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

It was too cold to watch the Movies Under the Stars, but normally that is one of our favorite things to do on the Ship. The Crown Grille was excellent and Waiter Ivan was THE BEST. We were disappointed with the food at the buffet and the configuration of the buffet area. People always seemed to be moving in different directions. The buffet food on the Ruby was excellent and we were hoping for the same on the Golden.

Pros: Ports of Call~ AND~ the Crown Grille

Cons: Buffet food

Recommends Golden Princess? Yes!

Food and Dining
Service and Staff
Buffet average, but Crown Grill was excellent.
Entertainment
We felt that the Theatre was too small to accomodate all that wanted to attend. Shows were average.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Victoria, British Columbia
A beautiful and clean City. A nice walk from the ship to downtown where we enjoyed a street show on the pier and vendor tents
Ketchikan, Alaska
We liked the "downtown" area, lots of shopping.
Juneau, Alaska
Road the sky ride gondola to the top and hiked.
Skagway, Alaska
Loved the White Pass Train
Don't Miss: White Pass Train
