Think Twice Before Cruising on Big Ships

Sail Date: December 08, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Clean and attractive (in an outdated sort of way). Ship needs refitting of beds and seating as both are worn out and uncomfortable - especially beds. I could barely walk in the mornings - was like sleeping on the floor.
Arrived at ports too early in the mornings and left far too early in the afternoons, not really allowing time for seeing much. Cruise would benefit from at least 12 hours in port instead of 6 to 10.
Employees were outstanding.

Pros: Employee service was exceptional.

Cons: Painfully uncomfortable beds and seating, confusing floor plan & elevators, port stays too short

Recommends Golden Princess? No.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Tourist town.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Our favorite of the ports. Not enough time in port. Saw very little.
Don't Miss: Don't know - not enough time.
