5 out of 5

We were a bit nervous about the Personal Choice Dining. We LOVED it! We actually asked for regular second seating which we did for 4 out of the 7 days. We ate Personal Choice two days and 1 day in Sabatini's (don't miss the experience!). The food was indescribable...everywhere...from the pizza on deck to the most gourmet restaurant on board. The ship was the most beautiful (we have sailed on Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity). Our stateroom was fine...the private balcony is a must! There were five pools on board. The ship is very segmented, so you never feel like there are 2,600 people on board. There were many small lounges instead of a few big ones, and three main dining rooms instead of two. The entertainment was spectacular with a dance/singing troupe that was wonderful. I can't say anything bad about one minute of the trip, EXCEPT Princess did a very poor job getting us to the ship... Albany, NY to Detroit to Miami and then bussed up to Lauderdale.... going home it was worse...Lauderdale to Atlanta to Cincinnati to Albany. Our recommendation is to book early and find your own airfare. We always have the cruise line book our air because we don't want to have to schlep it ourselves and then at the end of the cruise, find our own way back to the airport. With the new security in place, passsengers have to pick up their own luggage and bring it to the bus. Also, passengers have to check their own luggage in when leaving. Also, Princess allows you to purchase a voucher for $5 to take their transportation to the airport even if you did not book the air with them. A PERFECT VACATION!
