The Piazza on the Golden Princess is a wonderful area that really is the heart of the Golden Princess. I spent a lot of time there on my last cruise listening to musicians in the afternoon while drinking a mocktail of hot chocolate. A really nice area to relax and people watch.

Wonderful area. Gorgeous Christmas and New Year decorations. Functional and fun area.

Always something going on to watch and get involved in..

Great place to get a snack and coffee and just hang out.

The Atrium/International Cafe was almost always totally impossible to get a seat. We never got there. It is very annoying that people will sit playing cards or reading a book in the space for hours on end. perhaps a polite notice could be put up (like at the pool with banana lounges), that people please respect that other people would like to also have a coffee or snack here so limit the time to 30 mins or something....or maybe just ban them reading books or playing cards in that spot. There were many many people we spoke to felt the same way about this particular space. A bit frustrating.

Quite often when there is a band playing (in this case it was a jazz band) it is just far too loud. Have difficulty placing an order at the International Café or with the wait staff, you can't hear what is being said. Had the same problem at the Service Desk. Staff speak softly and politely but can't hear them. Pianist in the atrium was fabulous.
