Overall this is a budget cruise. The food was ok, the service was ok. The ship layout not great and overall this ship needs updates and it can make you sea sick. If you want relaxing time with adults don’t go on this cruise to many kids. All the alcohol is overpriced. 1 glass of wine 15 dollars, 1 beer -12 dollars. Casino don’t play by one cent you don’t win much. We spend at least $500 extra for each person to do some excursions and having 5 drinks.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Okay, a bit confusing in some places.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Everything on schedule and most of the restaurants close by 11.Food quality is not the best as Celebrity. The best food was bakery.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
2 small pools for full cruise. You have to wait to find good spot.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Ice shows, comedians and broadway review not bad.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
To many kids on board. They were in casinos where people smoke and adult only performances.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Overall service was ok but not the best, there was some bad service in casino.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Layout designed for families not for adults. It is hard to get from one place to another. The ship is old needs updates and you could feel it rocking all the way till the last day.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
Beds spacious but not comfortable. No enough privacy if 3 people in the cabin. TV always had problems. Also, I develop a strange allergic cough in some areas as well some of us had bed bugs bites.
Ship tip
Budget cruise, to many people and kids, mediocre service.
There is good food and places to see. No excursion needed if you stay close to old town. Take Uber. USA cellphones work there.some places walking distance. Raises in old San Juan great Puerto Rican food.
I don't think it's liking or disliking kids, just there are places where children do not belong, like casinos or adult pools and shows. It's up to the parents to keep their children enrolled in programs or close to them and behaving - wishful thinking.
Why do people cruise when school is out, then complain about kids being on board? If you want a cruise with less children, or no children, then cruise when school is in session or take a more upscale line such as Crystal, Symphony, Oceania or better yet Viking which does not allow anyone under 18.
