Review summary
This was our second cruise out of San Juan, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience some of the southernmost islands without going on a longer cruise. This was our first trip aboard the Freedom, and I was happy with what the ship had to offer. One thing to keep in mind is that it is an older ship in RCCL's fleet,so it is going to be smaller and more outdated than the newer ships. Knowing that, the Freedom had plenty of on board amenities to ensure that we were never bored. This was also our first time upgrading to a junior suite and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is wondering if the extra expense is worth it. Our room was spacious and we had an extended balcony that came with our own lounge chairs and table/chair set. We typically book an excursion for each port day to ensure that we will have something to do other than enjoy the fantastic beaches. Every excursion that we did was professional and tons of fun. I would definitely sail on the Freedom again.Embarkation
