Over all a good cruise. My teenage daughter and I had a very nice time. Will definitely cruise with Royal Caribbean again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Our embarkation experience was fine. As a Platinum Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor member our wait to get on the ship was minimal. Once onboard, we were ready to roll.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food and service was wonderful. We ate in the My Time Dining room at a table with the view of the ocean. The dining room service was good but occasionally a little slow. The food was great. We ate a Chops one evening and the meal was so good that we booked a second night. The second night might have even been better than the first.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The main thing I do on the ship is relax by the pool. Aside from the normal hoarding on lounge chairs on deck which I find inexcusable, it was very relaxing. Plenty of sunshine and relaxation.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
I saw three show on the ship and they were all good. The comedy was very funny! Properly enjoyed it the most.
Port seemed to be well organized. We came in on an airport shuttle and left the same way. It was very well marked and had no problem finding where we needed to be.
St. Kitts is beautiful. We did a Resort for the Day at the Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino. The weather was perfect and the resort was great. Not crowded at all and nice amenities.
We took a shuttle boat over to downtown Philipsburg and did some shopping. You catch the boat right at the pier that the ship is docked at so it is very convenient.
There seemed to be an abundance of rude people exiting the ship. Cutting in line and just being down right ugly. We are all trying to do the same thing and there is no reason to be pushy and rude! Royal Caribbean does a good job but people need to have more respect for their fellow travelers.
Coloradoguy111,
It has been 2 years since our last time on Freedom so I'm sure that the Ice Show theme has changed, but having seen several ice shows on Freedom and on Oasis class I can assure you that the shows are well worth seeing. You do need to make a reservation and of course like shows on most ships, you need to be there at least 15 minutes early. Definitely a must-see experience :-)
