Review summary

The ship was great and lots to do but they don't give you enough time slots to do some of the activities. Our room was great but the dinner staff was horrible. I wish we could have had better dining experiences.

Embarkation

All was great getting on the ship. We did not have our paperwork printed but it was a breeze getting on still.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining rooms were so so. We did the anytime dining and felt like we waited long periods of time to get bread, water, food. We just felt really "set aside" every time we would eat in the main dining area. We had to ask for bread and drinks. The first night I have to say the people who waited on us were great and on top of it, but the rest of the main dining experiences plain out sucked. One night we actually got up and left for the buffet because we were pretty much ignored. This is not at all what one expects on these boats. The ice cream machine was horendouse. There were always huge lines to get a cone at their one machine with two sides. And many times the machine was broken. They had horrible times to in which the ice cream machine was actually open. These cruise ships are known for their endless ice cream. This was horrible. Get with the program and get more machines! We have cruised NCL and they had ice cream machines at every end of the buffets and they were opened 24 hours. I believe they set a time on the machine as they had a Ben and Jerry on the Boat and and they want to make sure people are spending more money.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The kids participated in the rock climbing wall, the ice rink and the wave runner but felt there were not enough time slots to do this. There were many times when these activities could have been utilized but were closed down.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We found the entertainment to be great. My daughter and I enjoyed the Quest game show Once upon a time. We did not get to see the ice show but i'm sure it was wonderful.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The wait staff in the main dining rooms made us feel as if we were not even there. Everything was very slow and we had to ask for drinks and bread. The first night was the only night we actually had good service. We even walked away from our table at the main dining room one night and just went to the buffet as we could not get service. It was horrible.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is a very well built beautiful ship. It is very well maintained. There were many activities yet we felt the time scheduled to do them was not enough.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We enjoyed our rooms and found them to be bigger than rooms on previous ships sailed with other lines.

Ship tip

Take it easy. Its a large ship and lots to do.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Not much to do here. We went to the local beach.

George Town, Grand Cayman

We went to the the 7 mile beach for the day. It was beautiful but lots of people and chairs taking up the nice beach (at least the part we were dropped of at anyway)

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
We had an excursion to the local water park. It was great. Loved the slides and the endless zip lines. This was a lot of bang for your buck.

Cozumel, Mexico

We spent the day touring the shops. Got pestered by the locals but all in all it was good.

Disembarkation

Leaving the boats was a smooth experience. We opted to walk off with our own luggage which was not as nice as letting them bring it on but it was fine.
