A great cruise!

Sail Date: October 01, 2014

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

Royal Caribbean is in process of upgrading this ship. Some things had already been done\, but more is being done in January 2015. I would recommend taking a cruise on Freedom of the Seas after that time. The ship itself if beautiful and one of the larger ones on the seas. There are many things to do as well as many ways to relax. We loved the My Time Dining feature.

Pros: We cruised the week of Halloween and the ship definitely was into the mode.

Cons: Freedom of the Seas is going into dry dock for some room and dining upgrades. We had a room that will be upgraded\, so it had a little wear visible. This is unusual for a Royal Caribbean ship.

Recommends Freedom of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Freedom of the Seas is one of the best ships in the industry.
Food and Dining
I put on four pounds\, so must admit the food was wonderful. The service was impeccable everywhere we went. The only disappointment was a tuna melt from Johnny Rockets. I grill mine at home so didn't care for the way theirs was made.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had an inside room so they are a little smaller than a balcony room. Nonetheless it had all the amenities offered and was quite comfortable once we had the bed split into two singles (leaving more room to walk between). I gave it a four-star because the ship is going into dry dock in January 2015 to replace some of the dining venues and some staterooms. Ours was one scheduled to be replaced so it had some minor cosmetic problems.
Service and Staff
We did not encounter one surly staff member on the entire ship. They all were very eager to help and were all very friendly.
Entertainment
What entertainment we saw and what activities we participated in were very good.
