This cruise was average.

Sail Date: November 04, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

Ship was clean. Staff was friendly, helpful, and upbeat. We have been on Disney 3 times and RC Allure and Oasis. So, we are spoiled with the nicest ships on the sea. Beds were not comfortable, limited activities, lots of geriatric people, not many included food choices, sodas not included, extra money for kids club lunch and dinner. Extra charge for fine dining was NOT worth the money. It was average. Disney, Allure and Oasis blows this ship away.

Pros: Quiet room

Cons: RC charges for every little amenity! Not much to do\, pizza bar was horrible\, sodas were an extra charge\, lunch & dinner were extra in the kids areas.....

Recommends Freedom of the Seas? No.

Ship Quality
Very clean.
Food and Dining
Speciality option\, Chops Grille\, was NOT worth the money. Included dining options were limited. Included drinks were non-exsistant\, except lemonade and iced tea.
Cabin / Stateroom
Size of room was nice. Beds were not comfortable.
Service and Staff
Staff was attentive and learned our likes and dislikes.
Did not see much. Variety was limited. Ice show was great.
Children's Programs
We did not like the fact that they charged you to take your kids for lunch and dinner.
