A Reasonable cruise

Sail Date: September 23, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

Overall, a nice cruise. Cococay was a great relaxing stop. The itinerary only had 3 stops - most 7 days cruises in the area have 4. Ship's staff not so great. Nice buffet, but little variation. Dining room food was OK but not great. I've had better cruises to the area but I've also had worse.

Pros: the ship

Cons: the food

Recommends Freedom of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship was massive. Lots to do. In great shape. Really liked the ship.
Food and Dining
Food was mediocre. Better than Carnival\, but not nearly as good as other lines.
Cabin / Stateroom
size of the balcony room was nice compared to other lines. The inside room with a window to the promenade was also very nice with more room than most inside rooms.
Service and Staff
A real problem here with the steward and a security incident which was not handled well by the ship's staff. (Would you want two men let into your daughter's room by the room steward while she was sleeping??)
Entertainment
activites aboard the ship were good. Shows were mediocre.
