A windy cruise!

Sail Date: November 27, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

We had sailed on the Freedom before and we enjoyed it as much the 2nd time.....the entertainment was top notch, and we made our reservations before boarding, which guaranteed us seats, especially for the ice show. We ate at Chops Grill, with outstanding food and service.....this cruise was part of the December Diamond celebration, so there were special events for Diamond and above Crown & Anchor members. On this sailing we were not able to tender at Grand Cayman because of the high seas, so we had another "sea day". We were disappointed at not being able to scuba dive, but we'll have to wait until next time! There were many events with Shrek & Fiona and Madagascar characters for the young and young at heart that added to the fun.

Pros: Entertainment & Service

Cons: nothing

Recommends Freedom of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Really enjoyed the Promenade and events there
Food and Dining
Food was excellent, as usual.....liked the scones for "tea" in the afternoon. We all had steaks at Chops Grill, and the food and service were worth the extra charges.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
There are too many to list....our dining room wait staff was wonderful..aside from waiting on us we got magic tricks! The staff at Cafe Promenade was very friendly, and when my daughter hurt her foot on the Promenade, they saw that she got to the medical facility, and then checked on her every day! Everyone was very willing to help with anything we needed. Cabin steward was not as attentive as most, but he did his job well.
Entertainment
Shows were very entertaining and professional....costuming was excellent, singers and skaters very talented
