Freedom of the Seas Cruise Review to Caribbean - Southern
Ship: Freedom of the Seas
Cabin Type: Suite
Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Review SummaryWe have cruised RCCL many times before - Best size ships are the Adventure of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, etc..... Freedom is like these two other ships, with the added feature of the water surffing on the stern. It's "middle"
is just elongated to accommodate more passengers!! The food in the main
dining room was really awful!! Pasta was sticky, portions were small, especially on "Lobster Night" - Lobster was the size of a large shrimp....
Service was next to "none" around the pools... Had to get our own drinks from
the bars around the pool. Workman were sanding decks while we were getting drinks at the poolside bar.... AM in the dining room, workers were "dusting beams" while we were having breakfast... Staff was not attentive
at breakfast. The lines for tenders at port were backed up for a very long time.
All in all, service, quality of food, and general cruise was just ok....not like other
cruises we've taken before.... This year we have chosen Celebrity....I am wondering if our ship the "Summit" will be in disrepair because it is several years old???? Oh by the way, when arriving home and writing RCCL about our experience, we received a letter of apology, but were not even offered a voucher
for a free drink on our next cruise!
Pros: The Mini Suite accommodations
Cons: The food in the Main Dining Room
