The Freedom of the Seas is truely an engineering marvel, elegant and functional. The staff is great - wanting to help, cheerful and curteous. The big downer was that Royal Caribbean has followed that path of the other cruise lines and after paying a goodly sum of money to take a cruise, they want to charge for everything else. Last cruise with RC the first run movies shown on TV were free, now they charge - to do a small bag of laundry (maybe 10-12 items can be put in the bag) they want $20. On the positive side they have one of the finest cruise directors I have ever seen. He is talented and energetic and made a medicore cruise a little better.

Pros: The Shows

Cons: You are nickled and dimed to death
