A terrible cruise experience

Sail Date: August 12, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

The ship was beautiful. The sports activities were great - Flow rider, rock climbing, mini golf, ice skating, sports court, even the game room. The entertainment was top notch. The bad thing is that there are way too many people to make it enjoyable since you are always waiting in line.

Pros: Entertainment

Cons: Theft from our stateroom

Recommends Freedom of the Seas? No.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten
The beaches are beautiful. But go the French side - Dutch is just a lot of old shops with poor people and poor bargains.

San Juan, Puerto Rico
Waste of time - city tour. Unless you dock in the morning so that you take a tour while people are at work, you encounter loads of traffic jams.
Don't Miss: Don't miss the Old Fort overlooking the city.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Snorkeling was fun but didn't see a lot of variety. This is kind of typical it seems. They always advertise gorgeous fish and all this coral and beautiful stuff. Once you're there, it's very spotty and not all it's hyped up to be.
