Cruise vacation of a lifetime!

Sail Date: June 24, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was stunningly beautiful in every detail, from the colorful sculptures of the H2O zone, the Solarium adult pool, the inside marble staircases, glass elevators providing beautiful views of the Promenade, to the opulent main dining rooms. The shows were Broadway quality and the ice skating show was superb. The service was personal and friendly even though the ship carries 4500 guests. It had something for everyone, and there was not enough time in 7 days to do everything, although it was non-stop fun.

Pros: Freedom of the Seas an incredible value

Cons: Not enough time in 7 days to do all of the activiities available

Recommends Freedom of the Seas? Yes!

George Town, Grand Cayman
We did a lot of shopping because we had seen the stingrays already. There was not a lot of time to go on tour and shop.

Cozumel, Mexico
We took a jeep 4x4 tour of the entire perimeter of the island and it was beautiful. Again, there was limited time to shop the fabulous jewelry stores and participate in a tour.
Don't Miss: Jewelry shopping
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
Labadee was enjoyable, although we did not have time to enjoy all of the activities, we liked the Thriller boat ride and the trolley that took us to the other side.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Dunn's Falls is a must see, but we did not climb, so we could have moved on instead of waiting for the rest of our tour mates for 2 hours. I did not enjoy being hounded by the craft store owners on the way out of Dunn's Falls that pretended to give you something and would not let you pass until you bought something. Margaritaville had very slow service and the burgers were like cardboard. I would not choose to shop downotown again either, since the stores were scattered and it was extremely hot. We could have used a better map of the store layout.
Don't Miss: Dunn's Falls, although very cold water and physically challenging.
