We just came back from our first Royal Caribbean cruise on the Freedom of the Seas. We were immediately struck by the size of the ship as it docked in Miami. Awesome!! We were impressed by the smooth embarkment process; as we had registered online, we were whisked right on the ship. Loved our balcony room & it's location. Up on deck, there were hundreds of lounge chairs to choose from. Despite the fact that there were over 4,000 guests on ship, we never felt that we were crowded in but was able to move freely around the ship. At times though, the elevators moved quite slow, even when no one was on them!
The theme shows were first class all the way. The live music was on point. Along with the 4 ports of call, we felt as if we had been traveling for weeks!! One of our BJ travel agents had actually been on this ship so gave us some great tips on what to see & do. Also, when comparing prices with those who did not use BJVacations to book their cruise, we got the best deal.!! As far as the drinks go, they were not watered down. The lemonade was the best!! The staff was very attentive & took care of our needs & requests. We had a ball!! Already planning our next Royal Carribean cruise.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The dining room food was good just not served very hot. The selections were not all that impressive.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
There was so much to choose from! Even in the dining room, we enjoyed live music every evening. The waiters sang & danced for us. Never a dull moment!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They were the happiest staff we had yet to encounter. Very pleasant, very polite.

Cabin / Stateroom

Well designed. There was enough space to store everything, including our luggage. Loved the sitting area! Would have liked to have had lounge chairs on our balcony.

Pros: The entertainment & the excursions

Cons: The buffet food was not hot & the selections was limited

Recommends Freedom of the Seas? Yes!
