Freedom of the Seas ~ March 2008

The Freedom of the Seas is absolutly incredible and highly recommended for anyone planning a vacation to relax and enjoy amazing activities. The Freedom of the Seas is the largest cruise ship in the world holding about 4000 people. Don't let the size hold you back, this ship is so big... you alway have somthing to do without running into crowds.

In closing, I can't say enough about the exciting excursions we enjoyed at our ports of call in San Juan, St Thomas and St Maarten, all guarunteed by Royal Caribbean.

We had so much fun that we have already planned our next cruise for 2009.

Pros: Our family enjoyed the incredible number of different activities, shows, excursions and dining options while cruising on the Freedom of the Seas to the Eastern Caribiean.

Cons: We had a long flight from Anchorage to Miami, but it was smooth trip aboard the Alaska Airlines fleet.

Food and Dining
I would not be fair if I didn't write a few words about the 24 hour dinning options. We didn't cruise just for the food, but we could have. Every dinning option was first class and served with the highest of service. The six of us enjoyed most morings looking at the ocean view while making several trips to one of the endless buffets. We enjoyed lunch whenever we wanted and had a variety to choose from second to none. Dinner time gave us an incredible time laugh and review our day while being served by the friendliest staff on board.
Service and Staff
We enjoyed awesome family activities on the ship like climbing the 60 ft rock wall, playing a round of golf, ice skating, tanning by one of the 3 pools or surfing and boogie bording on the incredible Flowrider. Activites did not stop when the sun went down, the shows were first class with the best talent I've seen. The staff and crew also hosted memorable youth activities that our kids are still talking about today.
