A Memorable Experience

Sail Date: July 01, 2007

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Room Type: Oceanview

RCCL's advertising and promotion to the Latin American Market has succeeded in changing the character of cruising on this ship .
With a passenger load on this cruise of almost 50% Latinos, bringing their style of vacationing ( large ,loud extended families roving in packs-innumerable ill-behaved children with no parental controls and bands of aggressive loutish teenagers,) together with a never-ending flow of Spanish language announcements combined to sour the overall experience.

Pros: Great Cruise Staff

Cons: The Mexicanification of the shipboard experience

Recommends Freedom of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Dining Room service at Lunchtime was pathetic- the proudly proclaimed 30 minute service is merely a slogan, with sometimes a hint of food after 45 minutes. The same daily menu becomes tiresome after 4 days.
Cabin / Stateroom
Staterooms are very well done.
Service and Staff
Entertainment
