Best Cruise Ever!

Sail Date: February 01, 2008

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Oceanview

We just sailed on the Freedom of The Seas and after 15 prior cruises it was the most incredible vacation that anyone
who has children could ever possibly imagine. From the moment
that we stepped on board our kids had an absolute amazing time.
They didn't quite know where to begin. They first enjoyed
the waterpark and they couldn't believe that there were hot
tubs for kids only (our children are 7, 9 and 10). Then
they went to the flowrider to try their boogie boarding skills. It was incredible. Then we played a round of miniature golf and on our way to the elevator we couldn't
help by stop by the basketball court to shoot some hoops.
It was now time to register for Adventure Camp. Wow, after
that, we had to book times to see our kids. They were busy
all the time and they could't wait to see Stingray and
Marty McFarty and Lana Banana and the rest of the gang for a
great time. Not to mention the scavenger hunts and Gaga ball
tournaments, hula hooping contests and talent show that they
all won medals for their efforts.
But wait, how could you miss the chance to ice skate! How
much fun is that when you have just sunbathed and are wearing
a t-shirt! I'm not sure who enjoyed it the most. It was so
much fun.
The entertainment was superb. The cruise director Alan was
really funny and quick witted. The shows were fantastic and
the comedian Rick Starr was absolutely hysterical.
The food was incredible much to our surprise after cruising
with Holland America and Celebrity so many times. The presentation was outstanding and the variety and quality was
fantastic. The alternative restaurents were really lovely
and Johnny Rockets food and fun service was memorable.
Our adjoining cabins were lovely and even though they were
smaller than what we have been used to in the past, they
exceeded our expectations. All the staff was outstanding
from the wait staff to the stateroom attendants.
When it was time to depart from the ship, all 3 kids cried and
begged us to promise to take them back as soon as possible.
We have been back for one week and they can't wait to go back
on board.
What a time we had! It's almost I week letter and I'm still
talking about it.
