First time cruisers, Cruisers for life

Sail Date: January 01, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Right from the first moment of entering the ship it felt like we were royalty. It didn't feel like we were on a cruise ship at all. The food was great, the waiters were great, the stateroom attendand was great. The only thing we didn't like was the port of Jamaica. It was dirty and we were glad we didn't spend any money there. We decided to exit the island at about 1:00 and spend the rest of the afternoon in the solarium drinking pina coladas in the hot tub. Don't miss the shows, whatever you do, they were excellent. The ice skating show was very well done as well. Above all it was worth every penny we spent.

Pros: Galileo's Dining room

Cons: Winy people that were very hard to please no matter what the wait staff did for them

Recommends Freedom of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Pool area was not crowded and clean.

Beautifully layed out.
Food and Dining
Everything the waiter recommended was outstanding.
Cabin / Stateroom
Got a balcony stateroom, but our friend got an oceanview stateroom and would have been happy with that too. The beds are big and comfortable.
Service and Staff
Our waiter, Christopher and his assistant were awesome. We didn't even have to tell them our drink orders, they knew what we wanted before we sat down. They always gave us their recommendations for dinner and never went wrong with them. Outstanding job.
Entertainment
shows were awesome, don't miss them.
