Enjoyed cruise, overall quality lacking

Sail Date: July 30, 2006

Enjoyed Freedom of the Seas, the ship has so much to do for all ages. Having the Royal Promenade with shops and restaurants was great. The food in the Dining Room and in the Windjammer has definitley gone downhill. Having cruised on RCCL for over 10 years, I have to say I was greatly disappointed. The variety is there, but the overall quality sucks. Need to improve the menus, make meals less heavy and use better quality salads, fruits and meats. The housekeeping staff was not very friendly and the entire week our bedspread that was already dirty upon our arrival was never changed.

Pros: Amenities aboard ship

Cons: Quality of the food and housekeeping

Food and Dining
Poor quality, large selection, won't go hungry.
Cabin / Stateroom
Small shower, not easy to use if have young children.
Service and Staff
The waiters and serving staff were very friendly, housekeeping could use a few lessons in customer service.
Ship Quality
Must go on the flowrider, worth the line.
Lots of shows, enjoyed the ice rink and skating show, outdoor activities are for all ages.
