Review summary

Do not go until all the Island Mask mandates are gone and all testing gone before boarding a cruise. I have to go fight with my insurance to cover a $210 test that was already provided by my insurance and Dr. but not accepted by the cruise line at boarding.

Worst experience ever. I could not get a flight less than 48 hours before embarkation so my Dr. prescribed a self antigen test to take with me that was approved by our government but not accepted by Royal Caribbean so they used extortion in Puerto Rico at the embarkation port to get $210 antigen scam money before allowing me on board!

We really enjoyed our cruise. The rules were pretty clear on RC and Puerto Rico websites but we had cruised in Dec and we’re a bit familiar with the rules.

Luckily wearing a mask doesn't bother me at all so I'll personally continue cruising. There's nothing wrong with a Island wanting to protect it's citizens. Sounds like you didn't read the testing requirements for covid. It outlines the tests that are acceptable.
