Review summary

This was our fourth cruise and our third one with Royal Caribbean. I’m so disappointed that I have to give them a low rating but this cruise just didn’t live up to their reputation or expectations. We ordered room service for breakfast and never received it or a call to explain why we didn’t get it. Every time we tried to make dinner reservations for the dinning room they were booked up and told us to check back. Our room was not cleaned, dirty dishes and drink glasses were left in there until we removed them. We accidentally tried to go through the teen room to keep from getting wet from the rain and got yelled at by the staff which was quite embarrassing. On a positive note, the ports and scenery was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking!!

Have you tried Traditional dining on your other cruises? Never have to make a reservation, guaranteed seating on time, same wait staff to dote on your every wish, and usually more experienced tablemates for advice on excursions and ports. You can always make separate reservations ( or visit Specialty Dining or Windjammer) if you don't get along with your tablemates (on 18 cruises, we've never needed to change tables or had tablemates leave due to personalities). A call or visit to the Ships Customer Service to ask for lower cabin steward gratuities usually gets a quick response. There is no excuse for poor service on a cruise.
