Review summary

Plenty of negative things to say. The industry has changed since my last cruise. More attempts to get into your pockets once on board. With that being said we had a great time. How can you not have a good time when someone is pampering you 24/7. And the view in Alaska was just breathtaking.

Hectic but controlled

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
This the first time cruising that I don't brag about the food. It was ok but nothing to write home about. Not sure if it was the menu or the freshness of the entrees. I will say I was more impressed with the casual buffet dining than I was with my 1st seating.

Children's Programs

It was more of a baby sitting event vs them participating in ship activities on a smaller scale.

Service and Staff

My waiter and cabin Stewart were excellent. Overall service as usual was great.

I wasn't going to take the helicopter ride to the glacier, but friends back home said I would regret not going. It was awesome.

Victoria, British Columbia

Sightseeing of course. Buggy ride. Beautiful city.

Disembarkation

Unsettling especially if you had an excursion. There were times when the level of instructions were poor or conflicting.

You did a nice combination - a cruise, and Alaska. Like most you were pleased which is a terrific way to spend a vacation.
