Enjoyed the Cruise

Sail Date: May 01, 2014

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This ship was clean and well kept\, but older and scheduled to be refurbished. We preferred the buffet where the food was excellent. The main dining room staff were great\, but the menu was very limited. Heard similar from other guests. Recommend they place stations for non-alcoholic drinks near the pool\, and assure coffee pots are maintained. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Embarkment and disembarkment went smoothly. Great ports.

Pros: Everyone was nice\, room was clean\, buffet food was excellent

Cons: Main dining room menu was limiting; too many spa \"commercials\" listed as activities\, limited access to food/drink during non-primary times

Recommends Explorer of the Seas? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Only one specialty restaurant and menu for main dining not appealing to us. Plenty of good choices in the Windjammer cafe\, but would have preferred regular dining instead of buffet. 24-hour choices very limited.
Cabin / Stateroom
Clean and well kept\, Steward was very helpful.
Service and Staff
Shows were good. Ice show was excellent. A lot of listed activities were actually infomercials for spa services ($).
