EXPLORER - Convenience.

Sail Date: October 26, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We wanted a vacation that did not require flying. We wanted sand and surf. We wanted heart-stirring music. We sailed the Explorer of the Seas again. Literally, the port was an 8 minute walk from our home. We should not have taken that walk. The ship was still in a mess. The ice cream bar located just outside of the windjammer buffet swarmed with flies. This was where food was dispensed. Rarely, did we see the ice cream station given attention to. The solarium seat cushions were old and tattered. Plus-side: The ports-of-call were what we were longing for. The itinerary was truly the best. The ship that has since replaced Explorer is QUANTUM of the Seas. We are waiting for Quantum to age a bit before we "explore" it.
