We have been in a few cruises and this time we decided to go see Bermuda via RC Explorer of the Seas off of Bayonne, NJ. We travelled with two other families with teenagers ages 13 - 19 and here's our experience with this ship. Explorer of the Seas could use a make over especially the corridors leading to staterooms. The pool deck is smaller than what was advertised and did not have large screen to watch pool entertainment. The bathroom on the pool deck was disgusting and the stench was horrid. The gym was a good size with plenty of threadmills and a good size aerobic/yoga room. The Windjammer Buffet was ok but the food selection was disappointing - not much changed in the selection during the course of the cruise. The waiters are excellent! And the washy washy dude at the main entrance to the Windjammer is hilarious with his daily greeting of \"no washy no foody, no food no happy, no happy go home.\" He should have been part of the entertainment crew. Speaking of entertainment, the Ice Show was fabulous. The Hula Girl was amazing! We didn't see the other shows but did hear that the comedy was lame. The bingo game was a ripoff where the prize was literally a small fraction of the overall sale. The Magellan restaurant was just average but our waiter Nathaniel and his assistant were awesome. Kudos to their excellent service! Our stateroom attendants Rondel and Julius were great but forgot to do the animal towels on the first two nights. Not a big deal but should be part of the routine. The Promenade was fine with a few stores. The Aqua Bar was quiet at most times but Ricky the bartender made some wicked and delicious LI Iced Tea! The coffee was terrible. Even the Starbucks coffee didn't taste like starbucks at all. Overall, we were disappointed with the food and Bermuda was not a do over for us. Will we consider Explorer of the Seas again? Most likely not. Will we consider other RC ships? Maybe? Will we cruise with other carriers i.e. Carnival, Norwegian? Absol
