First and last cruise. Thanks Royal Caribbean for making this the worst vacation. Rooms were cramped, outdated and the furniture all scratched and nicked. Shower was like a stand up iron lung. Don't drop the soap! Staff looked like they did not want to be there. Asked for an astray and had to wait two days to get on and got it from another stateroom attendant not even ours. In fact never met him till the morning we left the ship. Room service what a joke better have half hour or more put aside to call thats how long it took for someone to answer. Also a #3.95 charge if you called after 2am. Not like the staff had to go home! Dining room food was terrible, No variety and if you ordered filet mignon there was a $14.95 charge. Would have thought this type of selection would be a regular on the menu. Alcohol was house brand. Had an additional $1.00 charge if you wanted a name brand. Entertainment was equal to a high school event. No Vegas entertainment on this ship. Casino had old and outdated slot machines and not many at that. Port of Kings Wharf was an old dockyard and horrible. The place was dark and shut down after 5pm. Nothing to do there. Cameras in your face no matter where you went or getting on and off ship. Found this extremely annoying, felt as though all the staff wanted was your money. Surprised they don't charge for bathroom use. Soda plan was a rip off. Cups given were clumsy and a pain to cart around, maybe a strap or clip would be helpful. Lastly cannot figure why Royal Caribbean would turn a ship around when 2 plus hours out of port to take off a sick passenger when there is a helicopter landing area on the ship. Would it not be cheaper to land a chopper on the ship than pay for alll that fuel and inconvenience 3 thousand plus passengers? Thanks Royal Caribbean for leaving a sour taste on cruising. Many other passengers felt the same. They have been on many other cruises and said the food, ship etc. was the worst. One helpful hint to future cruisers on Royal Caribbean sail out of Florida on a different ship of theirs or better yet go on another line, save your money!!
