The cruise was really marvellous; excellent quality service, beautiful ship, superb food, interesting entertainment and programs and really incredible value.

Pros: The Beautiful Ship - Explorer of the Seas

Cons: Some ports of call were difficult

Recommends Explorer of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Wow; the Explorer of the Seas is a gem!
Cabin / Stateroom
We had an interior stateroom and, although lacking the space and balcony of much more expensive suites, was excellent quality and value. Great big (king) bed; small separate sitting area (with a curtain to separate if necessary), complete bathroom with shower. We couldn't ask for more!
Service and Staff
Truly top quality. Some of our new friends on board complained that their cabin attendant or dining staff weren't the best, but our service providers were top notch all the way. They went above and beyond to exceed our expectations.
My only "complaint" is that there was so much to do that we couldn't do it all! High quality musical and special entertainment guests with many special events and activities.
Food and Dining
Every meal was very well prepared; with good variety available; and the service was top notch. Everything was fresh and delicious.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
St. John's, Antigua
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
We jumped on a ferry to visit St John's and explored the 2 islands by walking, ferries and local taxis. Wonderful day in port.
Samana, Dominican Republic
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
100% commercial -- we did a snorkeling trip that was a disappointment; Haiti's oceans lack fish, the coral are badly damaged.
Don't Miss: If it wasn't the first port of call, we would have stayed on the ship and enjoyed the facilities there.
Basseterre, St. Kitts
Again, we caught a local ferry to Nevis and thoroughly enjoyed exploring.
