A beautiful well run ship

Sail Date: March 01, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship is lovely and leaving from NJ and avoiding airports was a pleasure. The rooms are a decent size and very well organized. Had enough room for even all the clothes my wife brings! The crew was friendly and the shows mostly good. The food was good, but not spectacular.

This cruise was to the caribbean . We liked it so much that we've already booked a cruise on this ship for Canada.

Pros: The ice show was spectacular

Cons: The shore excusions were not worthwhile or well run

Recommends Explorer of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
The service at the main dining room was excellent so we didn't bother with the buffet lines. The food was gfood, though not the best we've had on a cruise .
Ship Quality
Took a little while to figure out how to go from the dining room to the theater.
Cabin / Stateroom
Roomy and well designed, but getting a little drab. Could use a sprucing up.
Service and Staff
Very friendly and helpful. Though our room steward was often hard to find.
Entertainment
The shows were good, with funny comedian and colorful production numbers. But the ice show was SPECTACULAR, the best I've ever seen on board.
