a great experience

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

It was a goood experience, but with some reservations. There is no Chinese flag nor is there Chinese language in the brochures despite many flags and languages used. The comedian made jokes about staff with limited English skills and made insensitive remarks about Chinese eating Chinese. Those jokes were made in poor taste. If the ship prides itself on its international staff and its diversity, there should be no racial jokes. Also, the shower drain in the room was clogged/slow from day one. It was never taken care of.
Suggestions: Please add the Chinese flag and the language. The Explorer needs to keep up with the current trend. Please leave all racial jokes out of the shows. Please do not make fun of the language skills of your very own international staff that you depend on for smooth sailing. First and foremost, please get a new comedian, and make sure he/she knows how to be funny without making poor jokes.

Pros: shows, food, fun

Cons: no Chinese flag on display, bad jokes by the comedian about Chinese eating Chinese, no Chinese language used in the brochure, comedian making fun of staff who had limited English skills ,shower drain clogged/slow from day one, and never taken care of,

Recommends Explorer of the Seas? Yes!
