My wife and I had taken this same route and ship for our 20th anniversary back in September of '02. We decided to take our 14 year old son and 10 year old daughter this summer. It was really amazing how different the trip was just by having the kids with us. We had a blast! The staff was very friendly and made sure our kids were well taken care of.The embarkation was well organized and professionally done, they even had entertainment and chocolate cookies for those in line. Our baggage arrived to our stateroom in a timely manner. We decided to upgrade to a outside balcony room and do not regret it at all. However, since the room was on the top deck and on the end, we did experience much more movement than the interior center room we had back in Sept. But all in all, the rocking helped getting to sleep but we would try to get an outside center room next time.Food was very good in the dining room and our kids got a kick out of being treated like adults and we even got our 14 year old son into a tux twice! He won't admit it, but I think he liked getting all dressed up for dinner. The entertainment was first class again, including the stage shows and an incredible Ice Show...yes Ice Show. I was able to talk to some of the performers and they were pretty excited about skating in the middle of the Caribbean and like telling their friends what they were doing. With over 3,000 people with different cultures on the ship, you had to have a certain level of patience, but that is the trade off for such a marvelous experience. Highly recommend this ship and its wonderful crew!
