We were on the October 19th, 2002 sailing of this magnificent ship that is a work of art.Thanks to our cruise consultant, Jasmine Turransky, we were upgraded to a cabin with a balcony, and wow, what a difference that made. Now we know a room with a balcony is the way to cruise, since it gives a private space to retreat and connect with the ocean.Embarkation was the normal procedure and disembarkation was slow. At embarkation, we were photographed and everytime we went in and out of the ship at ports, our pictured ID was carefully checked. Also, with this system, they were able to track who was not back on the ship at sailing time!!!The food experience was Five Stars everywhere on the ship. But we especially want to thank thank our waiter and helper, Kenon and Erika, who were excellent!!!Entertainment was the best yet to see, not only at the Palace Theater, but on Ice and the Promenade. The Latin Group at the Viking Lounge was GREAT, we danced the night away everynight. They really were the heartbeat of the ship, always a house-full, had everyone dancing !!!! Please keep them so we can see them again.The only disappointing area was the Beauty Salon. I feel that $172USD for a short haircut and a color was way too much money to charge (and waste) especially when the color was left on the towel after the first wash!!! - I feel RCI needs to strongly address this area of service and re-evaluate their services or everyone will eventually want to STAY AWAY from this area.We are looking forward to our next trip, definitly to be booked through Jasmine at My Travel and again on RCI and like the famous words we heard from every employee onboard that served on us had to say, "IT'S OUR PLEASURE" and it is also our pleasure to deal with My Travel and RCI!!
